Lessons

I offer lessons for all ages and levels, from beginners to advanced players. Whether you're preparing for an audition, working on technique, or simply learning for fun, I will tailor each lesson to meet your individual goals and needs.

With a patient and encouraging teaching style, I focus on building a solid technical foundation while fostering a love for playing. Together, we’ll work on strengthening your sound, improving your musical expression, and developing a deeper understanding of the music you love.

Reeds

Reedmaking is one of my favorite aspects of playing the oboe, and I'm excited to help you on your own reedmaking journey. I offer reedmaking lessons both in-person and via Zoom, tailored to your individual needs and skill level. Additionally, I sell a limited number of oboe and English horn reeds. Each reed is personally play-tested, and I only sell reeds that I would use myself. My reeds are made in the Philadelphia style with a smooth response and warm tone.

Coaching

Whether you're preparing for an audition, recital, or ensemble concert, I'm here to help you reach your goals. I work with all instrumentalists to guide them toward their best possible performance. Oboists are also welcome to reach out for specialized assistance with techniques like double tonguing or circular breathing.

Seminars

I would be delighted to speak to your ensemble or class on a range of music and performance-related topics. I’ve led seminars and workshops covering subjects such as overcoming performance anxiety, audition preparation, public speaking for musicians, professional development, injury prevention, effective practice techniques, community engagement, and more. I am also happy to customize a seminar to meet the specific needs of your organization or studio.

Program Development

I have developed Community Engagement programs for distinguished institutions including the New World Symphony, Eastern Music Festival, Music for Autism, Northeastern Pennsylvania Philharmonic, Washington Heights Chamber Orchestra, and more.
